I found an interactive affiche to teach Did Jesus Actually Live Again? and loved the idea! I'm non much of an artist so I recreated a digital one! However, if you lot don't have the time or selection to create a poster, I've got a few simplified variations below!!
I LOVED the idea that was shared HERE. I but created a printable because I'one thousand only not much of an creative person! I am glad I only occasionally go all crafty as these tend to be more work but every in one case in a while, it's fun!
Merely before you delve too deep into a project, check out how it works beginning:
Interactive Affiche
Outset you'll need the poster I created (and a HUGE thank you to Susan Fitch for the artwork found HERE!!):
Access my printables at my Resource Library. Instructions for accessing my Resource Library are plant at the bottom of this postal service.
I recommend printing at Costco as a lustre xx×xxx print for $9.99. You demand the JPEG version. Other printers might prefer the PDF file.
I should mount mine on white affiche board to get in a little more durable but … nah. Or I take a tiled version that you can print at home (it prints on 8 sheets of paper/card stock that you can mount and so record together).
Then you demand all the poster pieces that go to it:
**UPDATE: I wanted to permit you know how this went in chief…information technology was a HUGE success! The kids were and so tranquility, attentive and mesmerized by the poster! It was great! Perchance information technology was due to my praying all calendar week that my lesson plan wouldn't fail! The Lord never ceases to astonish me! The affiche took a niggling maneuvering but it wasn't bad at all. I'd definitely recommend doing this!
Again, you tin download these at my Resources Library. Instructions for accessing my Resource Library are constitute at the lesser of this postal service.
I printed on white card stock and cut them out. So I have a laminator that is more similar a contact newspaper applier-machine that worked perfect for this project!
But packaging tape volition easily piece of work! Or you can buy contact paper rolls at Wal-Mart for pretty cheap. Just brand sure to apply either record or contact paper to both sides of your images.
Here are my strips, I spaced the images about four inches autonomously::
Upper Corner
- question mark
- the number "3"
- heart
- question mark
Correct Side
- Aye!
- Mary (in this order)
Bottom
- Green arrow
- fish
- honeycomb
- nail
- spear
And so you need a big oval to make for the rock covering the tomb. Get creative. I institute some thin cardboard effectually my firm (I save random things for projects like this – anyone else?) and so covered information technology with some gray card stock I had on hand. It needs to be approximately 18×12 inches.
Then you demand a brad to brand the circumvolve spin, and another brad to attach to the male child and daughter.
To hang, employ heavy magnets. The magnets are too helping my tombstone not autumn over to the correct and another magnet to concur up the girl and boy, so they don't flop frontward when they are revealed.
Activity
As an attention getter, ask the children if they recollect Jesus lived subsequently he died. Then ask if they think they will live again after they dice. Tell them this song answers this question – a question that many people don't know the answer too! Accept them mind as you lot and the teachers sing as yous use the interactive poster.
Echo over again having the kids effort to sing forth every bit y'all move the pieces (I can simply slide them along with my fingers). Later doing information technology a few times, in between each image/phrase, you can end and ask if they know what is coming next.
Actions
Optionally, add in these actions (the actions are from HERE which has a slap-up lesson plan too!):
- Did Jesus really live once more (concur hands out with palms up like asking a question)
- Yep, when the 3rd twenty-four hour period came (concord upwardly three fingers)
- He wakened and he left the tomb (blink optics and walk in place)
- He called Mary'due south name (cup hands effectually mouth)
- Did Jesus come to those he loved (put easily over heart)
- Yes, people touched his feet (curve over and touch feet),
- And of the fish and honeycomb (jerk paw back and forth like a fish swimming)
- He did truly eat (pantomime eating).
- And there were nail prints in his hands (point to hand)
- And a spear wound in his side (indicate to side)
- Did Jesus actually alive again after he had died (hold hands out with palms up like request a question)
- Oh yeah! (nod head)
- And so shall I! (indicate to self)
If you are actually brave, have unlike children come have turns (just I'yard non sure I'd recommend this unless you have a very pocket-size primary otherwise, there might be tears!).
At the stop, bear testimony that you know Jesus was resurrected and lived afterwards he died, as will we.
**UPDATE: I wanted to allow you know how this went in principal … it was a HUGE success! The kids were and so placidity, attentive and mesmerized past the affiche! Information technology was great! Peradventure information technology was due to my praying all week that my lesson plan wouldn't fail! The Lord never ceases to amaze me! The poster took a trivial maneuvering but it wasn't bad at all. I'd definitely recommend doing this!
Variations
Omit the interactive affiche and use the enlarged central-word images from the interactive poster, using the deportment posted higher up. Cut the pages in one-half.
Assign each class a page (or two) with its associated activeness, then take them come upward, place their moving-picture show on the board and teach the rest of the primary their activeness. Have them sit downwards, then sing all the actions that have been learned so far. Repeat with the next class until all the pictures and deportment have been learned.
Get even simpler and assign each class a phrase to describe the images on the chalkboard and then teach their action.
Make certain to bank check out more ideas for teachingDid Jesus Really Live Again?HERE.
All my printables are gratis and filed on my Resources Library. Filing instructions for accessing each printable on my Resource Library are below the push.

Camille this is awesome!! Question…can I not only laminate the pictures instead of using contact paper?
Hi Natalie and Aaron,
The only problem with laminating is you demand a long continuous strip of plastic (yous don't cut out the laminated objects) and the laminating sheets aren't long enough. Perhaps there's another way to exercise it? I promise that answers your question.
